AI agent OpenClaw confirms ban on Bitcoin, crypto discussions in Discord

The controversy surrounding OpenClaw intensified following a rebranding incident where scammers exploited the project's previous social media handles to promote a fraudulent Solana-based token named $CLAWD. This token briefly gained significant traction, reaching a market cap of $16 million before plummeting after Steinberger publicly distanced himself from it. He reiterated his commitment to the project’s integrity, stating that he would never launch a cryptocurrency, and urged users to be cautious of any unauthorized tokens claiming association with OpenClaw.
